• Hard premises: a two-person dialogue scene in a kitchen, a heist with detailed hand-offs, a single-shot sequence.

From script to shot list

A 90-second short usually needs 15-20 shots. Write each as a single line with five parts: subject, action, setting, camera, light. For example, a short about a lighthouse keeper:

• Wide shot of a lone lighthouse on a black rock in a stormy sea, waves crashing, dusk, slow push-in.
• An old keeper in a wool coat climbing a spiral iron staircase, lantern in hand, low angle, warm lamplight.
• Close-up of weathered hands trimming a lamp wick, soft flicker, shallow depth of field.
• The lighthouse beam sweeping across fog, a small boat appearing in the gray, wide shot.
• The keeper at the window watching the boat, silhouette against the beam, static shot.
• Dawn over calm water, the boat safely moored below the lighthouse, slow aerial drift.

Keep one style suffix on every line ("35mm film look, muted teal and amber grade") so shots feel like one film.

Keeping characters and style consistent

Consistency across separate generations is the hardest part of AI filmmaking, and no model guarantees it. What helps:

• Identical character wording in every prompt: "an old man with a white beard, dark wool coat, red knit cap."
• Image-to-video from a key frame. Create or draw one reference image of your character, then animate it for several shots. This holds the design much better than text alone.
• Editing tricks: silhouettes, backs of heads, wide shots and close-ups on hands hide small differences between clips.
• Remix your own successful shot from the feed to reuse its exact prompt as a base for the next one.

Previs fast, finish on quality

Assembly and sound

Everything that makes a film feel finished happens in the edit: pacing, music, sound effects, narration, titles and color grading.
